From November 1st 2020, Bromley Autism Charity CASPA will be new tenants of Community House and on behalf of all at Community House; we extend a warm welcome to them. CASPA will be occupying one of the small offices on the first floor as well as running our South Street Café.

As tenants of the Café, CASPA will be providing training and employment skill opportunities for people with Autism and social communication disabilities. This CASPA-led initiative within Community House will allow the continuation of the provision of great food in the wonderful surrounding of South Street Café as well as embedding an integral part of CASPA Futures Programmes.

CASPA has been established for 18 years in Bromley, providing specialist Autism services to hundreds of children, young people and adults and their families in the form of social clubs, activity programmes, trampolining and football clubs, holiday activities and annual residential trips. They also provide family support, and annual Autism friendly summer fete and Santa’s Grotto. CASPA is a movement of incredible people working to address the barriers that Autistic and neurodiverse people face on a daily basis, providing myriad opportunities for the Autism community to grow, develop skills, be better integrated into society and amplify their voice.

CASPA are very excited to be moving into Community House and South Street Café. They have managed a similar community based café in Anerley Town Hall and were awarded a tremendous 5 star Hygiene rating whilst there and received many plaudits for all the work they did and training opportunities they created. As tenants of Community House they intend “to hit the ground running” delivering a high-quality, inclusive service to the community, with great food, amazing coffee and life changing opportunities for local autistic people.

Please note delivery will initially be a phased provision, with the precise date of the reopening of the café to be confirmed at a later date. CASPA will offering to begin with an “in-house” along with a take away service as appropriate, as Community House is still operating an appointment only service with the front doors still closed.
